Candlelight is unique on the Oldham night club scene, it's been going longer than anyone can remember, probably back to the 60s. It's family run, the owner's son looks after the day to day running of the place. He insists on greeting visitors in a dinner jacket, as they enter an interior that's probably changed little since the 70s.They've even got a Saturday Night Fever style dance floor and a mirror ball on the ceiling! The current customers seem to have started going in there around the 1970s, and  to have stayed as regulars, probably because at the time it was the only club that stayed open late.
